Nick Hutton
Chief Executive Officer
A veteran of the Asia Pacific telecommunications industry, Nick Hutton is the Chief Executive Officer of U21Global and has proven experience in building businesses across the region. His previous role at RGB Networks was Vice President, Asia Pacific. Prior to that, Hutton was based in Shanghai as Chief Marketing Officer at Alcatel Asia Pacific and was responsible for the overall management of marketing and communications programmes in Asia Pacific to build the company's business in the region.
Earlier, Hutton was Vice President, Asia Pacific, for 3Com subsidiary CommWorks Corporation, where he was responsible for setting up and leading a team to grow the company's carrier business across the region. Prior to CommWorks, he served as Vice President/General Manager of the Alcatel/Newbridge Internetworking Division for Asia Pacific, where he established strong relationships and worked closely with major telecom operators. Hutton's career also includes a successful 15-year stint at Apple Computer, where he was Director of Sales & Marketing for Asia, based in Hong Kong and Singapore.
He holds a degree in Business Management from Oxford Brooks University in the UK.
Dr Helen Lange
Dean, Business Management Programmes and Director, U21 Liaison
Helen Lange is Dean, Business Management Programmes and Director, U21 Liaison at U21Global. Dr Lange's career spans professional roles in the banking and finance industry, as well as academic positions in banking and finance, and management. Prior to U21Global, Dr Lange was Associate Professor with Australia's Macquarie Graduate School of Management, where she was Director of MGSM Consulting, a business consulting group within the School, responsible for establishing a new business unit to provide consulting services to corporations and governments. Her most recent project was a large UNDP-funded project for the Malaysian Government. Before joining MGSM, Dr Lange was a member of faculty at the School of Banking and Finance at the University of New South Wales, Australia. Dr Lange's areas of expertise are financial management, enterprise risk management, corporate governance, financial risk management and bank management.
Dr Lange has extensive industry experience, with over 15 years in finance, banking, merchant banking and life insurance. Her consulting activities cover many aspects of finance and centre on investment banking and compliance and governance issues. The second edition of her book, Financial Institutions Management, has recently been published (McGraw Hill) and is used extensively in Australian universities' bank management programmes. She has recent publications in the areas of corporate finance, securitisation, corporate governance, takeovers, institutional investment, ownership concentration and small business financing. Dr Lange is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australia, a founding board member of the Turnaround Management Association in Australia, and a member of a number of international finance and economics associations. She has a PhD from Macquarie University.
Dr Wing Lam
Dean, Information Technology Management Programmes & Director of Pedagogy
Wing Lam is responsible for the Information Technology Management Programmes at U21Global and also serves as Chair for Pedagogy where he is closely involved in pedagogical innovation and advancement. Dr Lam was previously at the National University of Singapore where he was a faculty member at the Institute of Systems Science. In addition to academic positions in the UK, Dr. Lam has held consultancy positions with Logica-CMG, Fujitsu (formerly ICL) and Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting). His consultancy assignments have included responsibilities for IT architecture, project management, IT strategy, IT-business alignment and change management.
Dr Lam's current research interests include enterprise integration, knowledge management and online education. He has over 80 publications in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. His work appears in the European Journal of Information Systems, Journal of Knowledge Management and Communications of the Association of Information Systems, among others. He has served on the editorial review boards of the Journal of E-Government, Management Decision and Online Information Review. Dr Lam has a PhD in Computer Science from Kings College, University of London.
Vikram Tah
Managing Director, Middle East, Africa & Pakistan
Vikram Tah is responsible for Recruitment in the Middle East, Africa and Pakistan. He has over 13 years work experience in branding and consulting, establishing distribution networks, and developing and executing sales strategies in the Middle East, Africa and the Commonwealth of Independent States. In his previous role as Director of e-Media FZ L.L.C, his clients included Bridgestone Tires, Novartis Pharmaceutical, Microsoft Gulf, GlaxoSmithKline, Samsung Electronics Middle East, Davidoff Cool Water, Kaminski Resorts and Hotels, Hershey's Chocolates and Standard Chartered Bank. During his tenure, he developed an online B2C portal which was ranked by PC Magazine as the "stickiest" website of the Middle East, earning it four out of a possible 5 stars. The portal has also been lauded by WINDOWS magazine as one of the "Movers and Shakers of the Internet World" in the Middle East.
Mr Tah has been with U21Global since 2003, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing, with a Minor in Finance, from Rockford College, Rockford, Illinois, and an MBA from University of Illinois at Chicago. At present, he is pursuing a Joint Management Development Programme (MDP) in Entrepreneurship and Family Business at IIMB (Indian Institute of Management Bangalore).
Danny Lee
Managing Director, North Asia
Danny Lee is in charge of student recruitment and business development activities and initiatives for U21Global in South Korea, China, Hong Kong and Macau. Under his leadership, U21Global established its office in Seoul, Korea in late 2006. He is responsible for developing, implementing and managing business relationships and alliances for student recruitment. He was Director, Business Partners, heading up the channel partners strategy before being appointed Director of North Asia. First appointed to head customer support and student services when he joined U21Global in January 2004, Mr Lee has established many excellent processes and procedures that enrich the student experience at U21Global. Some of these processes were cited as 'industry best practices' during the EFMD-CEL accreditation exercise.
Prior to joining U21Global, Mr Lee was head of the award-winning Customer Service Department at DHL Express, Singapore. During his tenure at DHL, the department was awarded the prestigious Times-Teleperformance Diamond Award for two consecutive years, and was also a winner in the Call Centre of the Year awards. Mr Lee was also head of DHL's Telesales Call Centre, which was cited as the centre of excellence in the firm's regional sales network. He is regularly invited to give talks and presentations on Service Excellence in public seminars, conferences and company events. He has served as an executive committee member of the Call Centre Council of Singapore (CCCS), and is also a qualified Singapore Quality Award assessor.
Dr Paul Goh
Managing Director, ASEAN & Taiwan
Paul Goh is Managing Director, ASEAN & Taiwan at U21Global, where he is responsible for the strategic development of the U21Global brand name as the premier online graduate school in the region. He works with direct recruitment staff, business partners and agents to market and recruit professionals into the school's programmes. Dr Goh also works closely with the various Deans to present effective and meaningful customised academic programmes to meet the specific requirements of the school's corporate clients worldwide.
Prior to joining U21Global, he held senior management positions in the Information Technology Consulting and Education fields, with responsibility for building marketing and sales alliances in the Asia Pacific region. Dr Goh has a PhD in Information Technology from Salford University, UK and he is regularly invited to speak on current business topics in public seminars and conferences.
Annie Tan
Director, Corporate Programmes
Annie Tan is Director, Corporate Programmes at U21Global where she is responsible for the development and delivery of all corporate programmes within the company. She has over a decade of experience in the service sector in Asia Pacific. Prior to joining U21Global in April 2006, Ms Tan was a senior officer in the Development Office of the National University of Singapore. She has held marketing positions at Asiacontent.com Media and the Children's Cancer Foundation in Singapore. Ms Tan has a Bachelor's degree in Business and Commerce from Monash University, Australia, with special focus in Management and Marketing.
