Study Environment

How do I interact with my classmates?

As a student, you communicate with your peers and undertake group work through email, threaded discussion, forums and chat rooms. While this may not have the immediacy and spontaneity of the physical classroom, you enjoy a more thoughtful, deliberate and complete expression of a classmate's ideas and greater interaction in an online setting. This asynchronous nature of communication encourages everyone to contribute to class discussions.

Who are my classmates?

Your classmates are other students registered for programmes at U21Global, such as the postgraduate programmes like the Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration, the Certificate of Professional Development studies, or corporate-sponsored customised programmes. Regardless of the type of programme, each student is assessed according to the same guidelines and standards.

How many students will there be in my classes?

The average class size is between 20 and 30 students.

How do I interact with my professors?

You can communicate with professors by email and through discussion forum postings. Professors monitor and communicate with students frequently and provide feedback on projects and assignments. They also guide discussions centred on subject learning outcomes. Some professors may establish online office hours.

What student support will I receive?

The U21Global Student Services team offers a comprehensive range of academic and student support services from the moment of initial enquiry to beyond graduation. Our student support includes enrolment counselling, a comprehensive and interactive online student orientation, a student handbook, 24/7 technical support, career counselling and alumni services.
