U21Global launches Global Business Leadership course
Course focuses on developing strategic leadership capabilities and enhancing business acumen
31 October 2008, Sydney: U21Global, the world's leading online Graduate School has introduced a course to deal with the challenges of management within a global organisation, the Certificate of Global Business Leadership. Starting on November 24, the programme aims to provide students with skills and real-world experience needed to provide first class leadership in an increasingly challenging international business environment.
"The Certificate of Global Business Leadership is an online programme that offers a global business leadership syllabus combined with real-world case studies from fellow students around the world," commented Dr Helen Lange, Dean, Business Management Programmes of U21Global.
"U21Global's unique approach to learning provides a tremendous amount of flexibility, enabling working professionals not only to effectively balance work, study and family commitments, but also the chance to interact with students from around the world, something that is particularly relevant with this course. In addition, companies will reap immediate benefits from the ongoing programme without having to wait for their staff to complete it as it has real-time relevance."
Conducted wholly online, the Certificate of Global Business Leadership programme covers major aspects of business leadership in a global market place and provides a broad overview of key management disciplines to enhance the business acumen of potential leaders. It comprises six modules that educate students on subjects such as people leadership, the international business environment, strategic management, finance, marketing management and operations management.
"Given the increasingly dynamic and competitive business environment, our objective is to help equip the leaders of global and regional companies with 'best-in-class' skills relevant in the global context and provide a sound understanding of business fundamentals that will enable them to lead in an increasingly globalised world," continued Dr Lange.
"The Certificate of Global Business Leadership programme will allow Australia's business leaders to gain these tools while working with students in similar positions around the world so that they can learn from real-life case studies in other countries and regions."
Aimed at corporate-sponsored and individual students who have at least eight years' work experience and five years' management experience, the 25-week programme offers an innovative and supportive learning environment which involves interactive online learning, discussion and peer learning platforms, mentoring by U21Global professors and access to research articles and business library.
